Pre-arrival housekeeping essentials

  • We keep a printed copy of Guest Information in each bedroom but here’s a copy for reference or to download ahead of your visit. Guest Information (PDF)

  • Check in is 4pm and out is 10am.  Early check in and out sometimes available upon request, charges may apply as per our Terms and Conditions.

  • A member of the housekeeping team will meet you upon arrival and show you around and answer any questions you may have.

  • Supermarket delivery slots should be 2-4pm, we will unpack the groceries into the Cottage if it arrives before you do! If you do not want us to sign for substitutions or for your shopping please arrange a later delivery slot.

  • There are no keys at Tregulland we will set an entry code and advise you by email. Adults are advised to keep the code for the pool house from any young children in the group who often like to play with the pads. To operate the key pad enter the four digit code and then push the key symbol. Pull then push the door to release. This process needs to be done fairly swiftly or you have to start again.

  • At head height by each main entrance door there is a ‘Main Switch’ this is a kill switch for all the lights in the house, to save running around checking lamps and lights – there’s quite a few!  In the Barn this Main Switch has to be left on for the outside lights to work.

  • The cookers at Tregulland are induction hobs, working on contact as opposed to waiting for them to heat up. Only induction cookware will work on these as provided by us.

  • Recycling bins are situated at the top of the steep drive. You can leave small amounts of recycling in the plastic containers in the kitchen or bottles in the utility room and decant to the larger bins at the top of the drive.

  • Refuse should be placed in secured black bin bags and placed in the Cottage car park.

  • Heating is underfloor throughout, there are controls in each room. Set to 18 in most rooms, 22 in the sunroom and cinema room.

  • We have mechanical heat recovery and ventilation system in the houses which circulates fresh air throughout the houses and reduced the need to open windows for air. It also distributes heat throughout.

  • Please make sure all doors and especially the sky lights are locked when you go out. The weather can change quickly where we are, on the edge of the moors.

  • The steam room will take a few minutes from switching on to heat up and pump out the steam. Operating instructions are outside the steam room.

  • Please download instructions for the hot tub. We will leave a laminated copy by the hot tub, please advise all guests to take care around the hot tub as the chimney and other parts are very hot when in operation.

  • We are in a remote location please take particular note of our Wi-Fi and mobile signal details.

  • Please let us know how you’d like the beds made up i.e. all as doubles or any as twin? See our floorplans in The Cottage and The Barn. This information must be with us no later than two weeks prior to arrival or all beds will be left as doubles.
