Dogs at Barford
We love dogs at Barford, however....
~ We charge £75/dog which covers additional cleaning, emptying the dog bins and checking the gardens and play areas after departure. We have set a limit of two very well behaved dogs at a time.
~ Dogs are not allowed on the sofas, chairs or beds, nor are they allowed upstairs or in the bedrooms.
~ We would suggest that they sleep in the utility room, and should not be left alone in the house.
~ Please keep your pets under close supervision - the garden fence is not dog proof and please be aware that Barford is right on the South West Coast path next to the sea and a road with a blind corner.
~Please make sure you collect, bag up and dispose of your dog's poo responsibly. (no loose dog poo bags in the wheelie bins - the bin men pick out all the large tied binbags full of general rubbish from the bins, so loose rubbbish will not be collected)
~ During peak season many beaches prohibit dogs. However our nearest beach - Wanson Mouth and the nearest swimming beach: Black Rock Beach at Widemouth Bay both allow dogs all year around, as do most National Trust beaches, for example Sandymouth near Bude permits dogs on a lead during peak season.
Check out Visit Cornwall's website to find other dog friendly beaches.
