Tregulland Cottage and Barn
For escaping, exploring, entertaining and dreaming

Hello, its been an incredible Summer here at Tregulland, helped by some brilliant sunny weather! The Met Office says this should make for a spectacular Autumn. As Cornwall proves itself as an all year round destination, why not make the most of it at Tregulland? Enjoy the changing seasons with some great food, an Autumn walk and then settle down in front of one of our log fires with some mulled cider or a hot chocolate? If the weather really draws in you can always warm up in the sauna and take a dip in our indoor freshwater pool.

Thank you so much for the ongoing feedback and support. Its a joy when we get a heartfelt entry in our visitors book, email or message. Not only are they lovely for us to read but also really useful for future and potential guests.

Special Offer and Last Christmas week!

Our peak weeks usually get snapped up well in advance. However, we do still have a week in the Barn from 20th December which means you will be celebrating Christmas with us. As with every year the houses will be decorated and the Barn is not complete without a huge 16 foot tree! We are also offering 10% off bookings before the end of March and we're even throwing in a luscious giant cupcake for you to feast on. Please contact Bonny to book.

Rambling in and around Tregulland

Our September guests were the first to enjoy our nature trail / treasure hunt. We were pleased that even groups without children enjoyed our trail which takes guests to twelve points of interest around the lake and grounds. Kids enjoyed it too with treats placed at each clue. For the more serious walkers a hike up nearby Rough Tor is great to blow the cobwebs away and build up an appetite for a pub lunch! We particularly like the Rising Sun Inn at Altarnun for local ales, log fires and great food. Thanks to Rob and Brett Symes Photography for this great picture.

The Old Workshop

September welcomed two couples celebrating their weddings, our games room AKA The Old Workshop was transformed for a humanist ceremony. Other ideas for uses of this very versatile room include a Yoga Retreat, a Fitness Studio and a Children's Entertainment Room. Of course the rolling table tennis tournaments will continue in between times. What would you do?

Nature at Tregulland

As the Tregulland swifts, swallows and house martins head to sunnier climes, our winter visitors, such as starlings, fieldfares and redwings are arriving. The local ravens are very vocal at the moment, "kronking" as they fly high over the valley. The otters are still travelling up and down the River Inny, leaving their "calling cards" on prominent rocks and stones near the banks as they pass through our land. The trees in the valley are just beginning to show the first hint of autumn colour, especially the birch, sycamore and larch

Finally, please do send this on to friends, family and colleagues who you think may be interested. Alternatively they can download a copy of our brochure here.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
