Cornwall has rightfully earned its reputation as a foodie’s delight in part thanks to the fantastic fish brought in to nearby fishing villages like Port Isaac and Looe. We have listed some of our favourites: please be aware we cannot mention them all, there are hundreds more brilliant restaurants worth trying, do let us know in our visitors’ book where you visit and tell us what you think! Sea Spray Cafe - Fistral Beach (2 mins walk)

Our closest café - half way down the steps onto Fistral beach from Esplanade road. Open 10am – 4pm longer in the summer. Telephone 01637 850793

The Headland Hotel - Fistral Beach (10 mins walk when the tide is out, 20 mins drive)

Iconic Grade II listed building where Roald Dahl’s The Witches was filmed, indoor pool and spa treatments available. Telephone 01637 872211

Rick Stein's Takeaway - Newquay (10 mins walk)

Open 10 am – 9 pm every day. Brilliant, busy take away with seating for eat-in Fish & Chips or Asian classics simply but consistently well done. Telephone 01637 303103

Fernpit Café – Riverside Crescent (10 mins walk)

Opening times: May-September 10am–6pm. Great little seasonally open café serving simple snacks, drinks, ice creams and glorious fresh lobster! Telephone 01637 873181

Lewinnicks Lodge - Riverside Crescent (15 mins walk)

Open for food 12noon - 10pm all year round – booking highly reccommended. Great pub restaurant with an amazing outdoor terrace right out on the headland with panoramic views of the Irish Sea. Also has rooms to rent. Telephone 01637 878117

Watergate Bay Hotel (15mins drive)

Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant - Padstow (32 mins drive)

Open 12 - 2.30pm and 6.30 - 10pm every day except Christmas Day. Some might say a trip to Cornwall is incomplete without a wander over to Rick Stein's, whether his infamously hard-to-reserve main restaurant, or the Brasserie and the fish&chip shop, which are much easier for drop-in visits.
